Michael W. Lucas: 'White' and 'Black' is Racist, But 'Grey' is Not Racist, "I'm Keeping Greylisting"
Taking tolerance lessons? Who from?
THIS article should be read in the context of many prior articles we wrote about it (over a dozen in total, going ~3 years back). This isn't about being blunt, rude, or racist; it's about responding to provocation by hypocritical corporations that continue to use words like "master" everywhere (while telling supposedly "unruly" communities that this is intolerant).
Michael W. Lucas (MWL), a prolific book author, contributes to corporate agitation over words, as if every colour is somehow racist because of false connotation and racism will be solved by altering widely-understood (in literature) vocabulary. Whether MWL does this intentionally, e.g. to divide and cause feuds over non-sequiturs, is beside the point.
From his latest blog post: (link intentionally omitted)
One might bring up "ageism", except it won't work when some groups bring it up. The colours "yellow" and "red" can also be framed as "racist" (don't laugh; some Native American and east Asian groups do bring that up), so it's almost never-ending and does not serve to tackle underlying, much deeper issues. Inclusive communities aren't prevented by language but by factors like economics or access to high-quality education, nepotism etc.
The usual caveats apply and I strongly suggest reading (revisiting) prior articles we wrote about it. Merely questioning this logic isn't bad in a free society; there's more to it than rhetoric. █
