Microsoft's New President for Activision Blizzard Has No Background in Technology, Just Like Frank X. Shaw (Whom Microsoft Took From the Military for Propaganda)
After Comparative Religion Major and Afro-American Studies Minor at Harvard, why not become a chief in the tech sector, only several years after working in the NFL?
This seems like a pattern - a part of a rotting system. People get hired for likelihood of being submissive rather than possessing the relevant skills. We see this at the EPO all the time.
We still have a WHO chief can barely speak and comprehend English, rendering him ripe for puppetry, e.g. by his bigger donors like Bill Gates. Nobody has been held accountable for mishandling the pandemic and administering if not imposing drugs with barely any clinical trials.
This is also applicable in the GNU/Linux world. See the GNOME Foundation and Holly Million or Jim Zemlin at the anti-Linux Foundation. Like many other institutions (even Fedora), they put some of the least qualified people in charge and corporations/shareholders then tell them what to do. They are ill-equipped to resist them as they cannot make a solid argument. Maybe that's a "feature", not a "bug". They are sort of in charge, until they are not (removal would be easy to rationalise for non-compliance).
So someone from the NFL is now a Microsoft chief. Still, better than hiring actual nazis to run Azure until they start stabbing colleagues [1, 2, 3].
What if companies that chose Azure for hosting knew who's truly in charge of their systems, data, and more? Fictional market "value" does not imply a competent workforce. █
