40 Years of GNU: The Continent of the Savannah Reduced Its Share of Windows to 16%
THE market share of GNU/Linux in Morocco is rising, just like in the rest of Africa, where Windows lost so much to Android (Linux) that now it's on 16% of clients (in 2009 it was 98%). So much has happened since GNU started more than 40 years ago, named after a Savannah animal.
Let's hope that by the time GNU turns 50 Microsoft's debt and layoffs crisis (circling down the drain) defangs it to the point where it's just another Unisys. █
