Growing the Site and the Movement (in the Face of Corporate Takeovers)
TODAY we did some housekeeping and changed the front page, among other things. The list of upgrade & migration tasks is becoming shorter as we prepare for the next decade or two (yes, we reckon we can last that long). Gemini is still growing, so it was worth investing in it. Some time soon we'll work on Gemini's Git portal and IPFS portal etc. Bulletins must be redone for the static page/site generator and then we'll have a need for IPFS (in case it's still relevant at all).
As for GNU/Linux, I mostly remain worried about inadequate people being put in positions of power (hence, submissive to sponsors like Microsoft, Google, and IBM). Watch what GNOME Foundation just did (the true story is in comments, not the press release). Did GNOME just hire its very own Laura DiDio? How authoritative and on what basis? █
