Things Have Been Progressing Nicely So Far
Thank you very much...
TODAY we continued splitting stories between this and the other ('sister') site, reducing overlap and duplication. Simple tools were developed to monitor news, usage, and handle cross-posting. We're far from finishing the migration, but the "TODO" list is getting shorter each day. We recently fixed a number of things in Gemini and now we're expanding the capsule to work better than before, not just faster than before.
Regrettably this may mean fewer new articles, at least temporarily. Back in July we published over 400 blog posts and now we have no blog per se, having shelved WordPress, replacing it with something a lot simpler but more extensive and extensible.
Well, having a month with the wiki "in flux" is not a big deal in the context of years or decades. We had to "cut the fats" and prepare for the future. The future isn't hopping to PHP 9, then PHP 10, then PHP 11 and so on (if they ever exist at all!) unless we define "future" as "some years from now..."
Thankfully our health and morale have been very good lately. Many people out there are depressed and struggle financially, but we've been doing surprisingly fine.
Let's hope that the next 10 years will be as exciting as the past decade (or two) and maybe we'll get to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tux Machines, where technical debt was massively reduced without losing any pages or comments. Yes, this means we have lots of files, too:

Nothing to sneeze at. █
