Feria, Mass of Preceding Sunday - Low Sunday (W)
As newborn babes, alleluia, desire the rational milk without guile, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
Psalm: Rejoice to God our Helper, sing aloud to the God of Jacob.
Glory be to the Father. As newborn babes, alleluia, desire the rational milk without guile, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

On paper quality
Since I started typing again on two different typewriters - an Adler Tippa and an Olivetti Dora, I noticed that not every sheet of paper yields the same clear print.
That came somehow unexpected, because I thought, well, typing as something mechanical would always be the same. But it isn't! I found that my "prints" look best on swedish made paper "Munken pure", which is not bright white but light chamois. Easy for the eyes and with a silk touch. Also very nice for decent handwriting with fountain pen or the like. I use this yellow-ish paper also for printouts of sheet music, because it is much nicer to read from in very bright or low light conditions; both can occur on stage or in dimly lit churches.

jx — JSON explore
I can call this jx on an URL or Fedi account name, get out some JSON, copy and paste the URLs from there into new calls to jx and so on in order to browse around what’s going on. Because most of the time the web view of Fedi pages are pretty incomprehensible to me. People are sometimes better at API design than UI design.

geminiprotocol.net outage, late news
The geminiprotocol.net Gemini capsule as well as its web and gopher mirrors were unavailable for close to two days from approximatley 21:00 UTC on April 2nd until 17:30 UTC April 4th. Sorry about this! The server was unexpectedly rebooted and for some reason did not receive a DHCP release when it came back up. I didn't realise the situation as early as I (perhaps) might have if it hadn't been the Easter long weekend. Thanks to the person who informed me! At any rate, things have been back up without incident for close to a week now.
A bigger problem than a little bit of unplanned downtime is that while in the process of bringing the server back online I realised that I had neglected to push a series of git commits I made locally on March 31st to the server! As a consequence of this, some rather substantial changes are only become public today with the push of this newspost. Please see the news post linked below. I really did (just!) make good on my earlier committment to have the two part specifications become official within the first quarter of this year!
