Motivation 2/...
I'm depressed these days. As opposed to all of the other days where I'm depressed.
I swear sometimes I feel ok. Sometimes even kinda happy.
I guess?
So yeah, I'm not being efficient at things I want to do. At this point that's my main problem with being depressed.

Switching Ceph to SeaweedFS on NixOS
At the end of 2023, I realized that I was running out of space on my home [[Ceph]] cluster and it was time to add another node to it. While I had space for one more 3.5" drive in one of my servers, I was feeling a little adventurous and decided to get a DeskPi Super6C[1], a [[Raspberry Pi]] CM4, a large NVMe drive, and try to create a new node that way.

IPv6 vs. IPv4 Distribution According to My Personal Browsing History
I read an article about the still too slow process of people supporting IPv6 on their servers. Because of the ever increasing IPv4 shortage, Amazon Web Services recently startet to charge a fee for each IPv4 address their customers use.
Because there are different distributions of IPv6 vs. IPv4 floating around, I wanted to know how my personal experience looked like.
I exported my personal web history from my web browser for the last year and saved all 1,800 unique domain names in a `history.txt` file. As I currently work from home, almost all my webpage access happens in the same browser. Therefore my personal history should be quite complete, minus the obviously missing domains from surfing in private mode.

Emacs: Pull Random Gemini Capsules (publ. 2024-03-22)
Ever since I was censored on Antenna and quit using it, exploring Geminispace for new feeds and capsules has become a lot more difficult. One trick I've used is the feature on Kennedy search engine that displays all known hosts. I will pull the links using gmni, sort them randomly, and then look at the first ten or so.

vlang println truncation
i just dabble so i often don't know what i don't know, however...
writing a short v ditty to print golden ratios and areas to optional significant figures. i use println to output.
seems in v println will output 3 digits after the decimal point!! i worked round by converting my float to str.

Ligeti - Poème symphonique (1962)
On the other hand, the work does consist of 100 metronomes set to random speeds and wound up as much as possible, and all started as simultaneously as possible. Also the Fluxus movement did feature anti-commercial and anti-art sensibilities. So getting canceled in favor of some more popular (and advertising friendly) football match is hardly unexpected. Don't rock the boat, nor turn those tables outside the temple! It's not good for business.
