HTC Quit Making Mobile Devices and Microsoft's Share is Lower Than Theirs at 0.03% Total (2024 Figure)
TO REMIND ourselves that Windows revenue has collapsed (same for market share) we can just revisit Microsoft's own, albeit crooked, reporting. There's no way to hide this anymore.
To realise how extinct Microsoft devices are (Surface and peripherals gutted last year [1, 2]) one can check this latest data, which can be plotted like this:
Microsoft's share in devices is so negligible that all it could ever do is buy some company like Danger and then take it to the cleaners [1, 2, 3]. If 4 billions of devices are out there right now*, then 0.1% is about 4 million and Microsoft, down to 0.03%, would be roughly less than a million. It's a dying breed.
How does Microsoft make money? Buying and selling its own shares? How come its debt is surging? Is the future of this company just polluting the Web with misinformation and killing facts? If so, Microsoft needs to be killed before it gets to kill facts. █
