[Meme] From Gorbachev With Love (to the Frenchmen Who Brought Patent Corruption to Germany)
EPO corruption weakens Europe
The EPO's overwhelmingly complicit Administrative Council, whose delegates and member states are bribed (details in this recent media report), gave another 5 years to run the Office to a man who calls himself (in front of his staff) "the fu**ing president" and routinely breaks the law. Is this the best Europe can produce for the top role in Europe's second-largest institution or simply the best bribery can buy install?
This would not have been possible without the two 'Napoleons', Benoît Battistelli and António Campinos. Not qualified in the area of patents, they sure knew how to bribe all the "right" people. And we end up with "diversity" of family members or a 'royal dynasty':
The EU's top officials must do something about this. It serves to discredit and thus weaken trust. That same corruption has spread to the EU already. █
